Parroquia de Barra de Navidad. San Antonio de Padua

Domingo de Ramos: 27/03 12:00 pm Procesión de Palmas saliendo del Malecón. Misas 8:00 am, 12:30 pm y 8:00 pm.

Martes de la Semana Santa: 28/03 8:30 pm Reflexión espiritual para los participantes en el Viacrucis. Confesión.

Miércoles de la Semana Santa: 31/03 8:30 pm Cena Judía.

Jueves Santo: 01/04 8:30 pm Misa (Institución de la Eucaristía, Precesión y Adoración a la Eucaristía)


Viernes Santo: 02/04 1:00 pm Viacrucis partiendo del la Capilla de San Felipe de Jesús en el Barrio calles O. Indico a una cuadra de Nueva España y terminando en el Malecón ; 8:30 pm Celebración de la Palabra, Rosario de Pésame y Marcha del Silencio.

Sábado Santo: 03/04 Vigilia de Resurrección Misa 9:30.


Domingo de Resurrección: 4/04 Misas 8 am, 12 pm y 8 pm.

The Beautiful Rugs of Teotitlan del Valle Oaxaca in Barra de Navidad

The small village of Teotitlan del Valle in Oaxaca is recognized by its beautiful textiles, specially rugs hand made of wood. The colors of these rugs are "naturales" not syntetic and obtained from flowers, vegetables and the cochinilla insect.

Celestino Chávez an artisan from that city is in Barra de Navidad during the winter season selling these beautiful rugs and some other artcrafts. The 99 anniversary of the Mexican Revolution was celebrated in Barra de Navidad with a parade where enthusiastic children of kindergaten, primary and high school walked and dance along the main streets of this small town.
