Patron Mexican Saint Philip of Jesus - Fiesta in barrio of Barra de Navidad

Pilgrimage in honor of Patron Saint St. Philip of Jesus in Barra de Navidad

The barrio in Barra de Navidad is celebrating the patron saint "San Felipe de Jesus" (Saint Philip of Jesus). The "fiestas" last for 3 days and end on February 5th which is the main festivity. There will be a pilgrimage around 6:30 pm in Nueva Espana street, where the image of St. Philip of Jesus will be carried to the chapel in the barrio followed by a mass service, folklorical dances on the backstage  located behind the chapel and a kermess in front of the chapel with "antojitos" (mexican food), loteria mexicana (bingo) and "toritos".
